Welcome to the webpage for the rehabilitation of Illinois Comprehensive Health Insurance Plan (“ICHIP”). Dana Popish Severinghaus, Director of the Illinois Department of Insurance, is the statutory and court-affirmed Rehabilitator. In accordance with Illinois law, the Director has appointed Jacob Stuckey as her Special Deputy Receiver to administer the receivership under her direction. The Special Deputy Receiver, working through the Office of the Special Deputy Receiver, assists in the day-to-day administration of the rehabilitation proceedings. On December 27, 2021, an Agreed Order of Rehabilitation was entered against Illinois Comprehensive Health Insurance Plan (“ICHIP”) by the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois pursuant to the provisions of Article XIII of the Illinois Insurance Code, 215 ILCS 5/187 et seq. , effective 11:50p.m. on December 31, 2021. The court’s order also established 4:30p.m. (Central Time) on June 30, 2022, as the final date for the submission of proofs of claim to the Rehabilitator for those persons and entities asserting claims against ICHIP’s assets.
