On February 3, 2022, the Supervising Court entered an order providing for the filing of proofs of claims in the NLH receivership proceeding and establishing a claim filing deadline of April 4, 2022, at 4:30p.m. C.S.T. The court also set a deadline of May 4, 2022, at 4:30p.m. C.S.T. as the last day that any claimant having a timely filed contingent claim may present the Conservator with proof of payment and evidence by which their claim may be estimated. On June 9, 2020, an order was entered placing NLH into conservation. The conservation proceedings were initially sequestered as required by 215 ILCS 5/188.1(5). In an order entered on September 30, 2021, the Supervising Court vacated the sequestration order and immediately stayed the order pending further hearing. In an order entered on November 29, 2021, the Court lifted the stay on its September 30, 2021, order and further held that two previously filed documents should remain under seal and that the Verified Complaint for Conservation and Injunctive Relief and the resulting Order of Conservation should be partially redacted.
