Receivership Orders

This domestic life, accident and health company was placed under an Agreed Order of Liquidation With a Finding of Insolvency on June 30, 2000 by the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.

Located in Bloomington, IL, Illinois HealthCare was incorporated and licensed in March 1997.  The company wrote primarily individual accident and health insurance in central Illinois, as well as in the states of Indiana and Ohio.

The claim filing deadline was December 28, 2001.  Early access distributions totaling $7,216,630 were made to various Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Associations for administrative expenses and claim benefits.

On February 20, 2007 the Liquidator's petition to distribute a 100% dividend to all timely-filed and allowed priority level "c" claimants was approved by the Supervising Court.

On December 17, 2008 the Liquidator's plan of distribution was approved by the Supervising Court.  Timely-filed priority level "d"  claimants were approved for 100% dividend distributions; timely-filed priority level "g" claimants were approved for 63.4977% dividend distributions.  The Court also entered an order approving termination of the liquidation proceedings and closing of the estate.
